Assignment 19: Capstone Update

For the past week I have been gathering more information as to what patients and other health care personnel believe would be efficient ways to improve the quality of patient care. One thing Northside is doing that they believe will help is they are moving out patient rehab to a new building, and giving the old gym to the cardiorehab department allowing them to be able to do more. Another thing I have noticed is especially with geriatric patients having students around seem to improve their mood. When they see a high school student interested and participating they become interested and as a student we can ask questions and keep a conversation going that the professional personnel may have a hard time doing because they are focused on getting results. This dynamic allows the professional to treat and the student to communicate and help put the patient at ease helping with quality of patient care by improving efficiency and comfort for the patient. I have also begun constructing my website where I am going to attach this blog to as well as the annotated bibliography and others part of the capstone project.
